Participating choirs: Every year about 15 choirs from all over Europe

Introduction:

Munich, the "Capital with Heart" with its beautiful surrounds is one of Germany's most visited cities. This is no surprise because the city offers so much: the Bavarian lifestyle, Germany's most popular breweries, and  breathtaking countryside that is unique in Germany.

Despite the dynamic lifestyle, there is always enough time to enjoy the comfortable Bavarian ambiance. Beer gardens and coffee shops invite not only tourists but also natives to relax. Furthermore, the traditional restaurants offer a variety of food, like meat loaf, pork and sausage. At night, Munich also offers a variety of activities so that everyone can be satisfied.

You can also enjoy an interesting and eventful visit to the surrounds of Munich, where you can see the famous castles and lakes. Moreover, a short break at the birthplace of Pope Benedikt XVI in the village of Marklt and the Pilgrim centre Altötting makes the visit an exciting experience that you will not regret.

Concert Halls & Venues:

In and around Munich friendship concerts will be held with several choirs from all over the world in concert halls, churches or during church service.

Farewell Concert and Dinner:

The final concert, where each choir will introduce itself with one song, is held at the impressive St. Michael's Church in the centre of Munich, the first renaissance church north of the Alps. There are 41 members of the famous Wittelsbach dynasty buried in this magnificent church as several kings and dukes.

The evening will close with dinner, music and dance together with all the choirs to end some memorable days at Munich.
