Introduction:
Barcelona,
located on the appealing Mediterranean Coast boasts beautiful autumn
temperatures around 22 degrees during the time of the Music and
Friends festival Cantate Barcelona. This Catalan metropolis
seamlessly fuses both new and old architecture, of which many sites
are world heritage listed including works from Antoni Gaudi.
Barcelona also manages a harmonious union of both the Catalan and
Spanish cultures with a strong revival of the former after many years
of repression.
Aside
from the well known sporting fanaticism of this country, Barcelona
also offers a huge diversity of entertainment and performing arts.
Being a part of this excitement is surely something not to be missed
by your group.

Concert Halls
& Venues:
The Friendship concerts which are held
in Barcelona and the Costa Brava bring together a guest choir with
2-3 foreign choirs. The Poble Espanol (Spanish Village) is an
outdoor museum where the architecture, style and culture from all
over Spain are brought together and presented in one location.
Thousands of tourists visit this attraction daily and you may have
the opportunity to perform at this venue amongst others.
Farewell Concert
and Dinner:
During the final evening, all
participating choirs present themselves in a concert hall in Girona
with one song each of their choice. This is followed by a common dinner
with music, song and fine food in the by now well known atmosphere of
the Catalan hospitality.
