Introduction:

San Marino is the oldest republic in the world and is located between the Italian regions Romagna and Marken, only a few kilometers away from the cities of Rimini and Riccione by the Adriatic Sea. Millions of visitors come to San Marino every year to see the narrow, winding cobblestone lanes, the three watch towers perched precariously on outcrops and to enjoy the breathtaking panorama from this natural rock terrace over the Adriatic Sea. The miniature state of San Marino is rich in art, history and tradition. Together with the excellent Italian cuisine, this is the perfect combination for choirs to meet and sing in a Mediterranean atmosphere.

San Marino and the surrounding Italian regions show their true colours during spring time with pleasant temperatures and without the usual tourist masses. Enjoy some time in the oldest republic of the world and at the golden sandy beaches of the Adriatic Sea together with choirs from all over Europe and North America.

Interesting places to visit are: Gradera - an old town with narrow lanes and an artistic and architecturally remarkable castle; and Urbino - a historical town world-famous for its architecture with the Dogenpalace and the birth place of one of the greatest Italian painters "Raffaello".

Concert Halls & Venues:

Concerts or mass-services in Roman Catholic churches can be planned in San Marino or the coast side on Sunday morning or Sunday evening.

Friendship concerts which include several choirs from different countries take place in typical Italian locales including theatres, concert halls or on the "Piazzas."  With already pleasant summery temperatures and mostly fine weather you can expect to have a most enjoyable stay.

Farewell Concert and Dinner:

The final evening, for all participating choirs, takes place in "Theatre Dogana" on the border of San Marino. Every choir may introduce itself with a song of their choice and finally all choirs sing a song in a spectacular "Grande Finale".
